Terms of Service

By accessing and using JAG Finance (“the Service”), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

JAG Finance is a private, invite-only personal bookkeeping application. It records transactions, tracks balances across accounts you define, and summarises periods. It is not a bank, a broker, or a financial adviser.

The Service provides the following features:

• Line-level transactions — Record a receipt the way it was printed: one transaction, many lines, with adjustments and surcharges kept separate from items.
• Accounts and payment sources — Track accounts at each institution, with Direct and card payment sources contributing to one account balance.
• Wallet inbox — An iOS Shortcut posts each Apple Wallet spend to the app, where it waits as a pending import until you approve it.
• Recurring bills and schedules — Track bills and one-off future payments, with reminders in the run-up and follow-ups when something looks unpaid.
• Period summaries — Weekly through annual digests of what happened, stored as versions so a later backfill does not quietly rewrite history.
• Investment tracking — Positions, pies and a net-worth view fed by market data, kept alongside the day-to-day ledger.

Data you enter is typed in by you, uploaded from statement files you choose, or posted by automations you configure. The Service does not connect directly to banks or card providers and does not retrieve statements on your behalf.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

There is no public registration. Accounts are created by signing in with a Google account whose email address is on the allowlist; anyone else is refused. You agree to:

• Sign in only with a Google account you control
• Keep that Google account secured, since it is the only way in
• Treat API keys you create as secrets and revoke ones you no longer use
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.

We understand the sensitive nature of financial information. Our privacy practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You retain ownership of your financial data. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial data you input into the Service. We are not responsible for any decisions made based on the information provided through our platform.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Upload malicious code or attempt to breach security
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
• Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the Service
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

The Service has no paid tiers, subscriptions or trials, and no feature is gated behind a payment. We do not collect payment details.

Access is granted by adding your email address to an allowlist and is withdrawn the same way. If that ever changes, these Terms will be updated before any charge applies.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Accuracy of financial calculations or advice
• Compatibility with all devices or browsers
• Security against all potential threats

We are not financial advisors. The information provided through our Service is for educational and informational purposes only and should not be considered as financial advice.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. We may delete your account and data, though we will provide reasonable notice before permanent deletion.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
